Sprint Cup Series Headlines
Thunder Valley, Tenn. "Concrete" Cory Podolski Wins the IRWIN Tools 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway Thursday night. Podolski led 170* laps, and held off a late race assault by Jay Neels. Neels faded to 10th only after loosing a tire during an epic battle for the lead during the closing laps. The win was Podolski's 2nd this Season, and became his 17th career Sprint Cup trip to Victory Lane. Jerry Lepage was 2nd, while Danny Coral finished 3rd. Wendell parker bounced back to 4th, and Philly Howard rounded out the Thunder Valley Top 5 last week. After an off week, the Sprint Cup series heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Emory Healthcare 500 this coming Thursday night.

Brooklyn, Michigan: Jeff Marble Wins the CARFAX 400 at Michigan International Speedway Thursday night. Marble led 16, and the final lap en route to his 3rd Win of the season in efforts to defend his Championship title. "We'll take it, this was an exciting race! That Blue Deuce was a Monster, but apparently not so good on fuel." Marble said from Victory Lane. Jerry Lepage rallied home 2nd from deep in the field, while Danny Coral led 56* laps, but running out of fuel coming to the checkers forced him to coast home 3rd. Sherwood Williford collected his season best by finishing 4th, while Jay Neels round out the CARFAX 400 Top 5 this week.

Nationwide Series News: 2/5/10 Jeff Marble collected his First career Nationwide Series Championship. Marble collected 3-Wins, 6-Top 5's, and had an overall 5.2 average finishing position in the 2009 Winter Nationwide Series. Richie Coy finished 2nd just 47 points back, and Jerry Lepage came home 3rd in the 2009 Nationwide points. Congratulations Jeff Marble!
